We have few names from the time of the settlement of Dragon Pass. Our best sources are the lineages given in the early Colymar king list.

As I stated in my comparison between Heortland and Sartar, I am convinced that the Colymar clan entered Dragon Pass around 1314, shortly after its former clan/tribe's priestesses had been defeated by Belintar in the Year King ritual.

One of these priestesses was Garneneva, whose great-grandson Barngradus became second King of the Colymar in 1349. According to KoS p.204 Garneneva fought Belintar hand-to-hand. An obvious occasion for this to have happened would be his participation in the Year-King sacrifice, which would have occurred in 1314 ± one year.

Garneneva would have been in her mid-fifties by this time - her great-grandson Barngradus could have been about age 29 when he challenged Borngold for kingship of the Colymar tribe in 1349. That would place his birth in 1320. Assuming that there are exactly twenty years per generation, Garneneva would have been born around 1260.

This leaves her son Gardrostan about age 35 when he accompanied Old Man Colymar across the Cross Line, and Barngradus father Farnan a boy just about initiation age. Barngradus himself would have been born around the time the first settlement of Clearwine was burnt.

Colymar himself was the son of Hordos, a farmer. His main asset in becoming leader of the refugee clan was (besides personal qualification and visionary status) his wife, Hareva, an earth priestess of the (Esrolian) Orendanae tradition. I would have him born around 1265, and his son Kagradus around 1285. This makes Borngold a bit older than Barngradus when they competed for Colymar kingship. My main reasons for these ages is the "fact" that Kagradus failed to serve the goddess properly at the end of his reign, which would make him síxtyish or a bit older, and that Harnkorl (fifth King of the Colymar) ascended to kingship in 1392. Assuming an average of 20 years between generations, and Harnkorl in his late twenties when he became king, these dates calculate.

The Zethnoring king Korlmar (3rd King of the Colymar, 1356-1371) descended from Fantarl, the Lawspeaker of Colymar.

The Arnoring clan seems to have formed around Anamorl, a thane of Colymar. This lineage produced two kings of the Colymar, from different clans, too. Anamorl must have been about the age of Colymar himself, as the calculations below show. The first Arnoring King of the Colymar, Robasart, was a grandson of Maniski Firebreath, who was a youth in the reign of Varsmar and a man during the reigns of Harnkorl and Venharl. I doubt that he saw his grandson become King of the Colymar, and quite likely found his death during either the Taral or the Zarran War. However, Maniski had (at least) two sons who continued his lineage, and Jorastor, uncle to the new king Robasart, seems to have become chieftain of the leaderless and probably depopulated Karandoli clan after King Venharl's glorious (and likely costly) defeat in c.1418 (in course of the Zarran War). This opened the Karandoli line, which produced King Ortossi, who denied Sartar to build a city in Colymar lands, and finally Argrath Dragonspear. Jorastor's ready acceptance as chief of the Karandoli might have resulted from earlier marriage ties to the Karandoli, although the Karandoli clan territory (the Brambleberry Hills) is quite distant from those of the Arnorings (around Quackford).

Unsurprisingly, the line best explored is the Karandoli line claimed by Argrath, which originated in the Arnoring line. It continues with the names Argrath recites in "Argrath and the Colymar" (KoS p.213ff):

Orendal the Avenger (b.~1480)
Gordangar the Red (b.~1500)
Dangmar Longsword (b.~1520)
Randalyar the Hunter (b.~1540)
Venharl Climber (b.~1560)
Argrath (b.1592?)

Of course, an exact distance of twenty years between generations is absurd, but it calculates nicely in the table above. At least, the table above gives us names of prominent Colymar tribespeople for the early period.
